Nogizaka Café

Architectural Design

Taisho Modern renovated café

Concept

Taisho Modern café in the historic Nogizaka area.

Point1

An entire parquet-style flooring was applied to create a Taisho Modern atmosphere, and private rooms with antique furniture were also installed.

Point2

Replacing a long-established French restaurant with a Taisho Modern café in line with our philosophy of 'conveying Japanese history and culture through properties'.

Point3

Open terrace seating with exposed sashes and a wooden deck

Point4

Renovated the lighting, which used to be bright and flashy in appearance, to be framed in wood and covered with Japanese paper to create a softer light in the image of a 'shoji' ( a paper sliding door ).

Point5

The Western-style flooring and shoji-like lighting create a blend of Japanese and Western styles.
